Found the mount on Ebay for under $30. The wire has a 90 on one end and a reel in the middle so I can make it exactly the right length. I use velcro to mount the reel out of the way. Works great and I think it looks OK.

I did something similar to eglidetrike1. I use a universal cell phone bracket and I glued the post to my IPOD. I just slipit out when stopped. For the long cable, I wrapped my 18" cord around a pencil (have to repeat every once and a while) and made a retractable cable, like for my headset and microphone. It works great. [/align]
Another vote for Gilbos brackets. PM him for a price. They come in raw aluminum but chrome up really nice. They also will powder coat nicely, and I'm about to find out how they look iin black anodize. Really nice piece. You can see them on his link here:
I do not recommend mounting an iPod to the bike because the vibration will eventually make the hard disk go bad. If you are going to use an iPod you will probably want to keep it in a soft bag or in your pocket.
I recommend mounting a flash memory based MP3 player if youare going to mount anything. The vibrations will not hurt it.

I have Gilbo's Nano 3 mount and I just asked him if he could make a Sirius Starmate 4 bracket that will slide into the Nano 3 mount. Not like I use both at the same time.
