I am still trying to decide which way to go with the audio on my bike. I have pretty much decided to keep the factory head unit, I like the hand controls etc. If I go with the built in XM then I will just get an iPhone mounted to it or make a custom mount in the Dash 
I am just waiting to see what happens with the Sirius / XM merger to decide.

Take a look at this mount. Good quality. All you need is a cover for your iPod that has a belt clip. Got my short cable at Radio Shack.

I have my nano velcroed on the colum on top of the gas tank. I took the console off the tank and rad the power and radio cord under it and then brought it up just infront of the seat. Worked great and the cables are hidden.
