Default Removing Tins form 08 Road King

I'm thinking about getting my bike custom painted as soon as I get delievery of it in Feb. How hard is it to remove fenders, tank, etc?

come come now Jim, don't get frustrated

08 tanks are a snap to pull now without the old style crossovers. The front fender is easy as well, just be careful with the magnetized bearings for the speed sensor if you have ABS on it. The rear fender is slightly harder, but easier being that it is on a road king than a full dresser with a tourpak.

I'm with Jim mine have been back ordered over 95 days and there was no new delivery date when I asked yesterday!!!!!!!!!

Good news, the delivery date that had been bumped to 12-30-07 is now showing 12-27-07!!!

Where do I get a service manual from besides the dealer for teh 08RK?

The best manual is the HD manual itself. You can buy from a dealer or buy online. Part number is 99483-08. I would suggest the parts manual also.

El to oh removeo el fuel tanko, hable picturo numero dos. Nothing aginst our spanish speaking friends, it's just that I DONT COMPRENDO IT.

It really isn't a big deal provided you have a way to lift the bike.The wheels have to come off,then it is childs play.Unless you are not confident in your ability to put it back together.
