'08 Stiffer frame?

I have seen it stated in a few posts that the 08 touring rides have a stiffer frame... Is this true? I thought the only difference as far as the frame was concerned was the engine mount... Do I need to go test ride one of the new bikes to see if it is all that different?

have'nt rode the 08' but dealer always points out the new mounting position affecting the ride.

I think the swing-arm pivot flex is way more of an issue than overall frame flex.
