Default takin' her out for the first ride tomorrow....

Well I've had my bike a little over a week and between sick kids/xmas party's/etc I haven't made the time to take my bike for a ride other than just riding home from the dealership. The weather looks like tomorrow it will rain late afternoon so I'm gonna get up and try to leave around 7am to get at least a couple hundred miles in. I just finished putting my liners in my jacket/pants. Last week I ordered a gerbing setup: socks, pants, jacket liner, and gloves but alot of it is on backorder and the other stuff hasn't shown up yet. Just can't hold out anymore. I gotta get out there and at least stretch her legs a little.

Go for it!

The weather in PA sux. I've had my 08 RKC about 2 months and have only managed 500 miles so far. I'm determined to get out next week if the sun decides to shine.

Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum!

I have a full set of Gerbing's. You'll love them. I mounted a pigtail to the battery so it comes out near the front of the seat on the left side. Be sure to get the dual controller.

I also bought a Nolan full face helmet for cold weather riding. That long with a neck warmer and I'm all set.

Enjoy the new bike. I did. Wife and I did a 2700 mile trip from WA to AZ the day after Thanksgiving. Didn't get cold once!
