Just got my lower sliders back from chrome. Look pretty nice but I can sure see a wavy effect in them. Chrome guys said that lots of HD Lowers are like that. Anyone else experience the wavy look on their chrome sliders?
Yes, lots of the MoCo's fork legs are wavy. That is caused from poor polishing prior to plating. I wouldn't expect shoddy work like that from a good plater. I have an indy buddy that refuses to put on MoCo sliders for his customers because he considers them crap. He keepswill send out a set of take offs and get them done for customers.
my chrome guy pointed that out to me when I brought the lowers to him and he took care of making them "not wavy" so your guy should have done the same thing if he knew what he was doing.
Last time I will be using them. They do lots of Harley parts but evidently they did not take their time on these. All the other chrome I've had done there previously turned out pretty good.
