on sunday went to a dealer and looked around and sat on a 2007 ultra. oh boy what a feeling. turned the ignition on cranked the stereo. oooo i want one bad now. i was rather supprised on how much lower it was compared to my king. the wife has really always been against it. so i made her sit on the back. she was suprised on how comfortable it was . she has been wanting a bike since i got mine last year. so she told me as soon as i get her one , she wants a deluxe, i can do whatever i want with my king and trade it in to get the ultra.
You are screwed now... Won't be long and you will own one there is something about putting your butt in the seat of an Ultra that makes you buy it (and if your woman sits on it the event occurs sooner)...
I wanted the ultra before I bought my King(wife was against the ultra) but like yours after we got one she said why didn't we get this before lol.Amazing how smart they get.
Yep, might as well just head on down to the dealer tomorrow and make the trade. In my line of work, we coach people to avoid living in denial and face up to life's realities - you will live longer and more enjoyably if you just go ahead and get it done. No sense in postponing the inevitable...
I wanted an Ultra back in 2002 but the wife was against that idea so I bought a Heritage Springer instead which turned out to be a great bike. I finally did buy an Ultra in 05 and now she loves it.
My recommendation is NEVER sit on a newUltra, and should you not heed my warning, for sure ABSOLUTELY DO NOT follow the salesman's prodding to flick the start button and twist the grip a couple of times. Should you not follow my warnings, be prepared to seperate yourself from 21.6 large ones for the privlege to take onehome for your veryown(w/ABS of course).
You have been warned, when we were looking at Ultra's as long as she never sit on it we was fine. But when we sat on this one and then took it for a ride, 3 blocks and she leaned forward and said, get it..NOW....
Can't wait to see the pictures of the new bikes, and yes I said that plural. New Ultra New Deluxe, man what a spring and summer you two are going to have.
