Not to throw a curve ball, but after reading this thread I just checked mine and the clutch cable is behind the crash bar. It has enough freeplay the when fully turned left it moves forward of the fork slider cushion or whatever that piece is. Verified by reaching thru the front and wiggled clutch cable to check for binding. Just my .02 , 44 miles and trying to find time to break in.

I just went on UTube and watched a couple of videos where I could see the cable extend out in front of the highway bar. Not sure if yours is on right. Post some pics.
Just adding to this old thread, as the consensus was to route the clutch cable in front of the crash bar. Everything I've read says to route the cable behind the bar.
