Default Clutch cable routing - HELP!

Replaced my inner fairing on my Street Glide and everything went well except ..............the big round rubber bumber that stops the wheel from turning hits the clutch cable. I can't get the clutch cable out of the way, it manages to make it's way back to where it hits the rubber bumper. This is evident when turning the wheel to the left, turning it right exposes it.

Does anyone have a picture of their clutch cable routing or can describe how it routes? Still waiting for the 08 Service Manual. Here are some pictures of how it looks.

Looking at the pictures you have the cable to the inside of the engine guard. Put the cable on the outside of the guard that should put the cable closer to the steering neck.

Dawg, your cable looks like it's in the same place as mine. Do you have any more pictures?

Eglide, not sure what you mean. Are you saying the cable should route in front of the engine guard? I'm sure this was where it was. Plus it would hang too close to the tire/fender.

Outside of the engine guard and wire tied to the frame down tube.

Timex is correct, the down tube has a bracket that you zip tie the cable to.

Look at Dawgs pic, if you move the cable to the front thats how it will sit.

I have more pics, but photobucket doesn't seem to be cooperating tonight[:@] Anyhow, as others have mentioned, cable comes from right side of scoot and goes up the right downtube where it gets ziptied down low. Then cuts across to the left downtube and runs up to the engine guard where it goes into the bottom of the fairing.

Hey thanks everyone, I routed it in front of the bar and it works fine. Not sure how it got to be behind, now that I think about it I think my brother-in-law put it there to keep it out of the way when we were removing the inner.

You all are the best!
