Default Harley Air Horn Install...

Okay, I'm trying to be a good boy and do all HD stuff on my 08 RoadKing.... I just bought the Air Horn and it is a monster to install! Thankfully, a gracious member told me how to remove the tank... now I find that the wiring that is in the Harley kit doesn't come close to getting to the new horn. Has anyone done this on a touring bike... can you tell me the secret? The directions from HD are pathetic.... the photos are too dark to read and I've been unable to buy a manual. Perhaps I am pathetic....

Thanks,
J

About to tear into my dads 2003 ultra classic and put on the seabel nautilus air horn hoping to find enough room up under the ferring to mount it. But will have to remove seat and other items to run new wiring etc.

I put the Harley air horn on my 07 Ultra last fall. I love it. I just lifted the rear end of the tank and had enough room to snake the wire through I think. I can't remember having any wiring shortage. Just make sure if when your first try it if it sounds like a sick duck call... reverse the wiring on the back of the horn. I followed the directions and I think that was it. Exactly what problem are you having?

Same experience as Nellybelle. No problems at all, wire was long enough but it did take me over an hour to get it the way I liked it. I do agree the hardest part is reading the directions!
