#1 thegreen connection for the fly-by-wire does not fit threw the bar (just after the elbow on the under side of the bar you will see there's an indent... the connector won't pass by that...) It needs to be cut off and hard wired to the other end... not a problem if you can sodder... Is this the H-D piece DAWG said can be bought(don'tknow the part# off hand)that will allow for an easy install?
I wonder, since I haven't done the change yet, if this is the piece that would make it work without the cut & solder? DAWG?
You shouldn't be and shouldn't have to cut and solder anything in the handlebar connections. The stock 32305-08 connector is for external wired bars and the 32310-08 is the one used for internal wired bars and has the thinner connector. I would strongly caution against cutting and splicing any of these connections when there are better alternatives.
DAWG... 32310-08 is what??? a different sensor w/ a thinner connector???
My problem came in where i used the STOCK sensor w/ the high bars.. the high bars have an indent in the elbow that didn't allow the throttle sensor plug to go threw... I cut and spliced and everything is working great... I don't understand what could be so bad about it... Its the same thing by using theconnector or spliceing them together...
Ron, was there enough slack in the wires to clip them a couple inches below the plug, run the wires up through the handlebar and out the end and solder the plug back on?

NAMZ makes the extensions and you can pull the wires from the connector, extend them, and then re-connect them.

The drive by wire in mine has over 12" extra... and NAMZ makes extensions for them as well. The rest of the wires, the cruise, turns signals, etc... were pretty tight and needed the extensions. Again, this was my 2008... While out of the connector, they look like they should run through the newbar with ease. I am waiting on my bar as we speak... I am also waiting on Chrome levers etc. too... so I have not finished this project yet. Thanks for the encouragement. Hope this helps. I know I was a bit nervous attempting this.

For me, I am confident that i can do the electrical extensions (I used NAMZ)and replacement of the handlebars (Wild1s.)
What I am very uncomfortable with is the clutch and brake cables... They involve fluids, connections to the tranny and stopping power... scary stuff for me. I am NOT ASE certified...
Leave it to the factory to go and mess things up! If you thought about changing your handlebars on your 2008 Bagger, think again. It's not that easy anymore with the introduction of throttle-by-wire. There may not be throttle cables to deal with but it can become a wiring headache. Not any more!

Check out the FatBook, it has Namz throttle by wire ext.'s and wire ext.'s for the left side also.
My Harley dealer here in Vegas will install my Wild1 16" apes with the slots already cut in the right side (ordered that way from Wild1) will order any extentions need to install the bars. I will be taking my 2008 FLHRC in Mon or Tues. next week to get that done. Will use braided cables for clutch and brake.
I'm 6'2" 250lbs already installed Bubba Brake shift ext. (2 3/4"), Softbrake brake ext. and Indycustoms floorboard ext. (which extended it 2"). Now the bars next week and I'll be stretched out in comfort. I'll take before and after pics and post when done.
