The Zumo detaches from its base with one tiny screw at the upper right side of the top latch. It comes with a small screwdriver that is meant to attach to your keychain — the head is notched to match the security screw. Takes no time at all.
The base get bolted to the Techmount — four bolts. The power goes directly to the base through an easily detached cord, and to the Zumo through a set of pins at the bottom of the base. There is a rubber cover that goes over the pins when there's no GPS mounted.
The Zumo is allegedly waterproof — but you might cover it up with a baggie when hosing down the bike just to be sure.
