I want to remove the heel shifter on my 06 RK Custom and wanting to know if anyone makes a cap to put on the end of the shaft, or should i just move the toe shifter to the spot where the heel shifter was? Thanks.
HD has one, lots of aftermarkets make them with different designs. I used to have a cap and sent it to anubisss here on the forum. I don't use a cap anymore, I just cut a piece of black rubber hose (like washer machine hoses) and put it on the inside of the shifter and moved it all the way out to the edge. I found this easier to getat with my foot.

You can do either. I chose to keep the heel shifter but remove the stock 2" shifter peg and replace it with a $1.59 chrome bolt and a single spacer. It sticks out about 1/4" now and my size 14 shoe fits just nicely on the floor board. I then bought the chrome shifter peg that the spacer matches for $15.95 and I got a little lock tite and I have a custom, yet functional solution. I have been asked to do a picture of it. I will try to do that later.
