Anyone have the electrical schematic scanned in for the 2002 Ulta - Radio & Cruise wiring? I have the schematics already for a 2000 model.
I'm doing a retro harness for a 2000 EG Standard and I want to make sure of the 2002 Ultra Cruise Module's terminal layout and color codes before plugging it in. I have 1/2 the harness complete, I just would like to verify before putting the other connector on.
If someone could shoot me a copy it would be much appreciated.
Here is what I have. If you can verify it that would be great.
Cruise Module - 10 pin Packard Connector
Pin Color Description
A Rd/Gr On/Off
B BE/BK Set
C W/BE Resume
D V/Y Roll off switch
E Blk Ground
FO/V 12 volt Power
G R/BE Brake Light Relay
H PK Tach Signal
JGRN/Rd Cruise Indicator Light
K W/GRN Speedometer Signal
Rev,
Shoot me an e-mail and I will try to send you the scans I just took of the handlebar controls and interconnect harness diagrams. If you have a fax I can fax it to you.
I was not able to reply to the e-mail you sent here from work. My schedule just got changed from the eve shift to day effective tommorrow, so, when I get home after work tommorrow afternoon I will e-mail you what I have. When I checked the radio diagram it just covers the radio/cb/intercom. The switches for the cruise are included in the handle bar controls. If you want I can scan the radio stuff as well and send you everything. Let me know.
Rev: According to the HD 2002 Electrical Diagnostic Manual's wiring diagram, you have the correct colors and pin locations, however some of your terminology is different (your original post and mods in red):
Pin Color Description
A Rd/Gr On/Off
B BE/BK Set/coast
C W/BE Resume/accel
D V/Y Throttle Roll off (delete--switch)
E Blk Ground
FO/V 12 volt Power (Ignition)
G R/BE Brake Signal (delete--Light Relay)
H PK Engine Speed (delete--Tach Signal)
JGRN/RdSet Lamp (delete--Cruise Indicator Light)
K W/GRN Speed Signal (not Speedometer)
None of the terminology changes is material (I don't think) but included them because that's what the wiring diagram says. And it does use a 10-place Packard connector.
Thanks for looking it up Carl. I can finish it up now. (still waiting on the module from Zanotti's though).

Rev: Are you installing a newer model HD cruise control unit on the '00 EG? If so, Cruisemount.com's website has some interesting info on the throttle body that might be useful.
Thanks. I had checked his site out pretty good. He offers some nice solutions.
I have a Mikuni HSR-42 and I just picked up the adapter from PhilM so that should be handled.
His harness kits shown Pending, so I just built my own. Rather simple really once I verified the pin outs. I build custom harnesses here all the time so I have the wire, crimpers, braided sheath, heat shrink, and all the other stuff.
I build the custom Bosch 7057 02 sensor extension harnesses up to 40' as well for industrial engines and I use a high temperature Kevlar braided sheath that is really nice, although expensive.
