Wheeldock in pickup bed?
Was reading up on the Wheeldock system, and it looks really cool, I kinda of like not having to compress the front forks. I was wondering, though, if anyone had atually used it in the bed of a pickup, and how it held up to road conditions, wind, etc. I talked to Rod (?) at Wheeldock, and he explainjed to me how to mount it using 1/2" plywood in the bed, etc., but 2 straps seems kind of light as a tiedown to me, but any more and i'm pretty much back to compressing the forks (i think).

My brother has 2 condors in his trailer,and all he does is run straps at the back of the bike down to the floor ,and he has pulled the trailer 100 miles or more at a time,he has had no problems.

I have the Condor and used it in my Pickup. There is not mounting. It just sits up against the from of the truck bed. I use two sets of tie downs. One from the handle bars to the front truck stakes and one set from the rear of the bike to the mid stakes. I have had no problem with this set up and it is easy to use.

I used the Wheeldock for over 2000 miles this summer in an open flatbed trailer. One strap through the front wheel attached to the Wheeldock and two on the back just to stabilize the back from bouncing around. Recommend it highly.
