Thank you for your opinions, some good points were made that let to questions to the seller, that had I not asked, could have been a problem. I have agreed to purchases the bike and Harley Financing was so nice as to offer me a couple of thousand extra for goodies if I wish. I am sure I will enjoy the bike and I am sure the Ultima engine will give me years of sht eating grins and rip the corner of your mouth smiles. I will look forward to keeping up w/the forum and learning a lot of valuable info on my new old Harley.
I am surprised that they financed a bike that old.

Well had the bike delivered on Monday, now I get to sit and look at it for a couple a three months. Nice bike, all in all very happy, admit to some ignorance, have been on a metric cruiser for 6 years, have a few questions, dealer paperwork says '90 FLHRS, insurance paperwork, got Harley insurance for the time being, says '90 FLHS Electra Glide (solid), I tend to believe the Dealer Worksheet, remember it is a reconstructed bike, I guess I will wait for the title. It has a '05 Road King front w/beach bars, they have to go, it has that big clamp over the bars, can I go with individual risers and if so, much extra work, got a "cover up" Handlebar cover eliminator as an extra, and should I have a regular key, I thought some I looked at, at the dealer, had the little round keys. I have no windshield, does anyone make a complete dark/black shield ? Thanks in advance

Arrrrrghhh.....too many questions....my head hurts.[sm=ummmmokay.gif] Just kidding...enjoy your bike!
all the talk quickly went away from your old ladys *** maybe u might want to consider the geezer glide you will be happier if u do long rode trips (mainly cause shell be happier)
First, a lot of windshields out there... you will need all the brackets, and mounting points, if they are not there... Now, as for what you have... my thought would be the '90 FLHS EG... reason being, the FLHRS (Road King Custom) was only available from 2004-2007... Unless the frame is from a FLHRS, it is not one... As far as bars go... you can do just about anything you want... check out the street slammer bars... HD makes them, and they have a top clamp that has two holes in... I suppose you could put any risers in them you want, but I don't know for sure... good luck with the bike... I hope you are happy with it, and it sure does look good... Post up some more pics, when ua get the chance...
Have been eagerly reading post and getting all the info I could when I decided to get rid of my metric cruiser and get a Harley Bagger. Need something that is easier on my significant others behind . Was interested in Street Glide and Roadking, but was hard pressed to get rid if the sleek, lower, fat tire (280) of my Warrior but I think I found the bike, your opinions would be helpfull, have a deposit on it pending trade in allowance and financing. It is at St.Paul Harley Davidson, owned by a salesman, he has new bike sitting, wants to sell this bike. Started as a '91 Ultra Classic, stripped to frame, powdercoated high gloss black, put on front end from '05 roadking, all black, 21"spokes on front,18" rear w/avons, chain drive w/all new sprockets. All new wireing harness w/lines run in bars . Brake/running lights flush mounted to hard bags, 127Ultima, show polish finish, still under warranty. 6 speed gearset in stock case. All new seals/bearings. Barnett scorpion clutch in primary, primary has new seals and bearings.New HD charging system including voltage regulator. All new HD skull accces. like grips, rider/passenger floorboards, axel covers, timing cover, air cleaner cover, ect.. Has chrome high torque starter and new HD battery, compression releases, wired for trickle charger, stretched and widened tank w/pop up filler. All black except for the wheels, engine/tranny ,Rhinehart 2 into 1. Dyno'd at 136 hp, ya I know that means a bunch of nothing, sharp looking bike, $12,000. basicly an all new bike 1,500 miles, built it, took it to Sturgis last year, has been at dealer since Sept, now selling it, has built or had a number of bikes built over the years, says no corners were ccut, a proffesional build, all work done by certified mechanics. What do you think. Thanks Tried to upload, says file to large.
I think this is just a long laundry list of **** that spewed from a salesman's mouth to pump you up to close the sale....
If you got a hard-on for a tire smokin' bar hoppin', runs like a bat outta hell hotrod show bike with saddlebags, man you've found it, by all means buy it!! [sm=icon_rock.gif]
If you're looking for a reliable, low maint., comfy for the OL, over-the-road "bagger", like a Roadking or Streetglide, this ain't it man... [sm=forgetit.gif]
Either way I don't really care, it's your $ and your decision, just take the time to think about what you really want.
K.
Yup I think I agree here. Great bar hopper and Bike Week bike. Touring machine, nope, this ain't it.
Congrats on the new ride! As long on you and the wife are happy, all is good
Ya might need to go with a little larger passenger seat to keep Mama comfy.
Good luck, ride safe.
