OK...what if everyone in America (legal) ran for President?
Like three million candidates! And say if someone got like........
300 votes.....then they are they leader of our country (sort of like "bike of the month"
except for four years.).
We need more than two parties. Democrats and Republicans suck.....(I am registered Dem. but usually vote Rep.). Independants....suck.
We have no leaders anymore.
We should all ride helmetless with fingerless gloves.....call is a cult with religious immunity.
(just a thought)
(civil war was a second thought....but I am short on ammo and utillity bills are due and since the writers strike is going to end soon.....cable tv may be interesting)
Hmmmmmm....writers strike ending before the primarys......a plot?
Look, let's keep this simple....Just vote for me and I promise a new Harley in every garage, a garage if you ain't got one, and a tattooed babe for you guys who don't ride solo.
This country is being run by a bunch of IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! regardless of what party they represent you can't trust any of them.
It is suppose to be by the People for the People, but unfornuately has become by the Rich for the Rich and all we can do is sit back and watch what's left of this country swirl the drain.
Watch HBO's mini series Rome. Think about the real intent of the ruling class. Think about what the roman citizen realy knew about where their laws came from & how their rulers reached their positions. Compare the cryer & the way he presented the "news" with todays news media.
As a political insider... Former ConnecticutRepublican Town Chairman (the guy you had get the ok from to run as a Republicanfor state or town positions in our area),I will tell you the problem, the cost of being in politics. It costs about 50,000 dollars to run for CT State Assembly and 100,000 or more to run for State Senate. I worked as a volunteer for a friend who won a seat in the US Congress and he had to raise about 1000 dollars a dayfor 2 years to win... Think about it, it is obsene and the cost for a Senate campaign runs about 6 million dollars.
The way to fix it is make the TV/Cable people give free air, 5 debates a year all mandatory, Free radio and free newsprint for all candidates. Forbid any other type of ads and limit all other sending to staff and yard signs...
The problem with the system is that you have to raise money non-stop and in CT most of the folks that run are independently wealthy and don't need a job to get by. The only exception was we had one guy a freind of mine who was a teamster and a Republican State Rep and he got all kinds of union money so he was set
I'm not a top wage earner, so I think the poor should run the country. Elect me president and ,"I promise to make clap a childhood disease". Was that the Mother's Invention who said that?
