Personally, I think the best bang for a buck would be a 95" kit with stock head porting and some cams, be it gear drive or SE. You'll be able to achieve mid 90's hp and over 100 lbs of torque with the right combo for under $2000 if you're doing the work yourself. That would include a SERT and pipes.
Going to a 103 requires alot more machine work, flywheel work and alot more money for bout 10 to 15 more hp and torque, depending on how radical you would want to go.
Remember, numbers look great on paper, but really matter on the bike. A bike that makes 120 peak torque at 5000 RPM's isn't going to be nearly as fun to ride as a bike that makes 100 at 3000 RPM's.

The stock 103's are dead because of the huge combustion chamber volume and the cam used. I just saw a 103 in a 2005 Electra Glide Standard with good heads and cam and it made 135 horse.
Do you have a dyno sheet on that bike available, that's some stout H.P. from a 103?
