When entering say a parking lot and I hit the bump entering the driveway, I hear a hmmmm clunk noise. Is something not tight. What can I do to check this out myself as I want to get away from seeing them a bunch if I can avoid. 05 Ultra..Any ideas..Could it be front forks or the neck bearings not to spec for torque..I now have as the spanish would say emanuel for this ride so I can look up specs for some of this but looking for a direction..If anyone knows what it maybe also some knowledge on what needs to be done would be great..Thanks in advance...By the way, winter here in Calgary Alberta so not a panic repair..HELP IF YA CAN.
I thought I had it bad down here.... What's the riding season up there in North, North America (I've heard Canadians HATE that). Eh? (sorry, but evidently I say "warsh" when I mean "wash", so it's a regional thing).
Does it make that sound only while in a turn or all the time, like if you pull into your drive in a strait line? Is the sound comming from the front or back of the bike? If it's the front and it's all the time the fork oil could be low. It might not of got filled up all the way.
That happend to my on my 01 Softail. Everytime I'd go over a bump at low speeds the front end would make that same sound. So I took it back to the dealer and they changed the fork oil and the problem went away. Something to look into?????
