Default Performance!!!!!

I am thinking of doing a 103" kit on my RKC next winter but I was wondering in everybodies opinion, what is the best bang for the buck performance item(s) I can do to my bike until that day comes. All I have at the moment is the SE air kit, download, and pipes.

What is the difference in cost between the 103 kit and a new S&S engine?

You could go ahead and have the SERT installed or a PC III usb, and map it for the add ons you already have, about the only thing that will help a little, and you would already have that when you do the build, also I would look hard at the 95"/98" conversion over the 103, a lot of bang for a lot less money than the 103" and the dyno numbers are very close to the 103", sometimes as good.

I have considered both and to tell you the truth I think I want a 103 so I can say it's a 103. Pretty stupid I know and i'm not downing anyone with a 95 but IMO I see alot more 95's than 103's. By the way, I love you bike, IMO it's the best paint design Harley has ever produced. And I was wondering what part of TN you were from because I live in North Mississippi, about an 1 1/2 hours from Memphis.

Thanks for the compliments, I live about 30 miles west of Chattanooga Tn. in Jasper. I think we're about 5 hours from Memphis.

I'd do what TN said. Go ahead and get the SERT and have it tuned. Then when you upgrade to the 103 you will be able to dyno it with the SERT and really tweak it. With some head work and the right cams and pistons your 103 will be a screamer. Be sure to keep us updated.

I agree if you have your mind set on the 103" then you need to up the right pistons and head work with the matched cams other wise you will just be pissing away a lot of money. The stock SE 103" motors, for what you have to pay for them are just flat out dog's. My dad's 02 88" with S&S 510G cams will give the stock SE 103" a run for it's money. My 97" will walk away from any stock SE 103" all day long.

The stock 103's are dead because of the huge combustion chamber volume and the cam used. I just saw a 103 in a 2005 Electra Glide Standard with good heads and cam and it made 135 horse.

Ok.... I want 135 ponies in my bagger... (and then I'll want 150).

And I want 300 watts per channel in the CD.... (and then I'll want 500).

Then I want Kate Beckinsale... (and then I'll want a 3-way with Charlize Theron).

Damn.
