I purchased a goodson air cleaner with a hawgsbreath breather bracket off of ebayand am trying to install it , it came with no directions and the seller isn't answering questions. it has no washers where it meets the heads by the breather boltsand it came with a spacerto use against the air intake but no way to mount it, I have a 2003 injected bike, any help would be appreciated.
If you mean the 2 bolts that go into the heads???
Most other kits use o-rings (4)
They're on the bolts between the manifold\bracket facing the head and again on the top side of the manifold between the bolt head and the manifold\bracket
So you would have o-rings on both sides of the breather bolts against the manifold\bracket...
thanks for the reply I guess I have to get o rings or some plastic crush washers to seal it by breather bolts but I'm still dumb founded about how to use the spacer between the bracket and air intake throttle body.
I had a Hawgs breath. I know Tim the manufacturer. The bracket, as I remember 3 years later,is 2 pieces, an inner mounting to the carb/ TB, the outer holds the 90 degree tube to the inner and bolts with supplied washers/spacers to the heads breather ports. When its bolted to the carb/ TB ther will be a gap at the breathers hence the washers. I think O rings make more sense. I sold mine, didn't like it. The guy I sold it to had an '03 R.K.F.I. His throtle cable hit the bracket's edge. I milled a litte angle for it to clear. Tim says the later ones have this corrected. With the correct bracket assy. it should bolt right up to a C.V. carb or Delphi F.I. Are you missing a piece? Hope this helps.
I got a hold of Tim and he didn't include the 3 bolts that hold the inner piece on and he said there was no need for any washers or orings on the breather bolts, I found the bolts to hold the inner piece on, still think I'm gonna put some kind of washers on the breather bolts. why did you get rid of yours? Thanks For the reply
When I got the Hawgsbreath I had a stock 88" motor with a 40mm CV carb. Shortly after I built a hot rod big bore with a 45 Mikuni and I wasn't getting the venting I thought I should have. For my motor the S.E. set-up seemed to vent better. Glad to hear you got your problem solved.
