Well, yes, but that takes way more time, and these are generally crimes of opportunity. Once they see it will not be a 5 second heist, they'll move on.

The only draw back I see to this design is I put my helmet in the saddlebag. With the bolt sticking that fgar out the helmet will not fit. I use the Brukus system and I have to be careful not to scratch or gouge the top of my lid on the bolts.
