I think i'll heed that advice, but will have to check into that a bit further as I have no direct knowledge of capacitors or how/where to install one. Don't get me wrong as I do sorta understand what they do, but have never installed one in a car stereo system. I did read up on one design a few weeks ago when a few others suggested I install one, but never got through the 6pages I printed off. If you have some direct knowledge of this subject, don't be afraid to explain it to me and the others who may be following this thread. Thanks in advance.

But those accessories generally do not have the inrush current requirements of an audio amplifier. Most devices are pretty much steady state loads. An audio amplifier is all over the map. Put a big cap in front of the amplifier for reserve current and to protect the alternator.

Yes they have 30Afuses oneach channel, but know that the fuses are set for maximum load which would be each side running bridged at 150wattsor combined at600 watts in 2 ohm load. I'm no electrical engineer, but running 75 per channel x 4 ohms should have it running around 20 amps and my buddy who owns a local stereo shop concurs. Nothing to worry about.
People normally run all kinds of accessories on these bikes included heated gloves, heated vests, heated handle bars, lighting kits, and other amplifiers like hawg wired (3 amps) and no issues. I'm sure that loading your bike up with theseaccessories places just as high of load on the bike and have never seen a problem. Have you?

Great thread Glide. I think the part that amazes me the most is you have all this mounting/cabling/dressing/terminating/component knowledge, but you mount your damn video camera to your front fender with DUCT TAPE!
I love it.
For the last series of pictures I think you should place a roll of duct tape in an inconspicuous spot for each shot. Kind of like where's Waldo. Maybe I'm the only one that will get a kick out of it.
Take care -

ZACH...YOU'RE WHACKED BUDDY!
And you're funnier than$hit, cause you're probably the only one that remembers that roll on the front fender. I still say it works better than any mount I tried, and I did try a few. One of these days you're going to get a roll of tape in the mail. lol
