RE: Puller for Cam bearings when replacing inner bearings
I used the freezer method and a 13/16 Craftsman 1/2 inch drive socket and a long extension used the socket reversed with the open end out, and had a buddy steady it, and it taped into the inner ledge very easily....The main thing to remember is to reverse the socket so you are looking at the open end of it... Good luck guys it was really quite easy the only real hard part was pressing the new bearings on the cam...I went to a local garage that had a press and they pressed them on for me for 5 bucks... Also remember the writing on the bearings go out towards the cam plate...
RE: Puller for Cam bearings when replacing inner bearings
I know there have been quite a few posts on the subject of cam changes but it seems with each new post I pick up one more tidbit of info or maybe one more good tip. Thanks to all who have posted here and in the past. I've got a cam change coming up in the next month and I'm sure you guys have helped me before I've turned the first wrench.

yes the bearing number points out, If you look at the bearing you will see one side is flat and the other side is rounded, just make sure you tap on the flat side of the bearing (the side with numbers)
