ok 4986 miles and my primary is cracked. Had bike in shop trying to locate whats causing the annoying vibration in my floor boards. Crankcase checked out good. Then Tech found a crack in my primary near the oil plug. What is up with this? I started to buy a goldwing but have wanted all my life toown a Harley.Beginning to think I made a big mistake. To beat all I love my 07 EGC.

Should be a warranty item. Also, a quick and easy repair. Everyone, sooner or later, will own a Harley. Enjoy it.
Yeppirs....sometimes bad stuff happens. HD will fix it, an' you'll be back on the road with a grin on yer face. Have 13k on mah '07 UC with zero problems, so ah'd say it ain't common...
by the way, the JB weld thing was joke. There was a thread last year that went on and on about a guy using jb weld toseal his leaking drain plug. he wanted Harley to warranty it when he could not get it out and found the leak was a crack and not the plug. The thread was a joke too, I think, just lots of people took it serious.
The chrome on my primary discolored and the dealer changed it under warrantywith no problem.
