Default The right choice ?

Been looking to get a new Glide in spring. With all the problems I'm reading I think my motor company loyality is headed out the window. The stock just fell through the floor ta boot.
Is there a chance they will build a model one can just enjoy without being a regular at the dealership shop ? My riding season is short and I want to be on the road instead of wishing I was.

If I would have it to do all over, I woulda bought a Ultra that is a few years old, low miles and then started on it. There is a huge market of used bikes out there right now with bikes that have thousands and thousands of dollars of bling added, some with engine mods and very low miles. I have seen 07 UC's as low as $15.5k that really had a lot of work done to them and had in some cases less than 5k miles. It is a buyers market right now. Yes, HD has good financing but I think the way to go is used right now, and most of them probably have had the "bugs" worked out of them already.

well, i have an '07 road king custom and the only time that i have spent in the shop is having my rear tire replaced. have just shy of 14k miles on it.

as far as the stock being low, that means that when my automatic investment goes through in the beginning of the month, i get more shares for my money....

Buy used even with low interest thats still 24000 for an UCis too muchwith all the used bikes out there now, then you have to do all the mods that need to be done your up to 26,000
yea yea there are guys that don't do the mods but very few and if you don't the 07 08 s are hotter than hell save yourself alot of pain go look for a usedone

You have to keep things in perspective. On forums like this you tend to see more talk about the problems, partly to get help, and partly to help others "be aware" of possible problems. I think if you go back thru the model years there have been just as many problems, but maybe not such and easy way to talk to thousands of riders about it. I honestly believe my 08 UC is the best bike I ever bought, but with any of them, only time will tell. HD's stock down turn has more to do with the overall economy than with "bad bikes".

We are heading into a recession.
Real eatate, New cars, motorcycles, boats, RVs, snowmobiles are all in the tank.
Gas is well over $3.00 a gallon and so is home heating oil.
People are scared and they are not buying big ticket items.
Harley Davidson is suffering from a economy gone bad not bad bikes.

Bought my 07 SG on 5/18/07. That almost 8 months and it turned over 15K miles today. Stock with true duals (Fullsac). What problems?

I've have my ultra over one year now and, yes, I have had it to the dealer... for the 1k and 5k service. No other problems and is stock except for all the bling I keep adding! It's a great scoot.
