I got mine from www.fastaire.com . It's an 8" and I'm 5' 10" or 11" depending on the day. Later I got my seat lowered and I cut off 1 1/8" from the bottom and its perfect. Jim at Fastaire is great with an excellent product and price. Check it out.
I had a stock Sundowner with an 8 inch Fastaire. I always felt like I had to duck under the wind. I got the Sundowner modified for 1.5 inches higher. I went with the 9.5 inch Recurve, which is actually 2 inches higher than the 8 inch Fastaire so this set me 1/2 inch higher than I was previously sitting (if you don't factor in the seat mod) and I love it. I am 6 2 1/2 with a backrest so I sit tall. Hope this helps.
Thanks for all the responses... I am definitely going to order a windshield from www.fastaire.com. I can't believe the prices over Harley... ($23 - $28 compared to $105 - $110). I still don't know if I want to get the 6" or 8". I have a black wind deflector on right now and it goes well with my color scheme (see below). I don't know if an 8" black windwhield would block any of my view or not. I think a 6" would look the best but I just need to figure out if it would give me enough protection from the wind.

Hate to agree with an old geezer but.... what he said about Jim and Fastaire. I am 6 ft and the windshield is 9 inch. Extremely happy with the product and the service.
I have a 6" recurve from Clearview in dark grey that I like. It could be 1 to 2 inches taller but then it would be hard to see thru at night, so to compromise between looks and function I went 6".
