Anybody know of a good method of checking the tightness of the primary chain through the inspection hole in the primary?Hard to do by feel,I would like to be more accurate.

Using the bottom leading edge of the window as a reference, measure the deflection with a rule. It should be 5/8 to 7/8's of an inch cold. Good luck!

Not a bad deflection tool there. I just use theL shaped one that I got off ebay for 10 bucks.
