Default Road Glide Owners: Handlebars & Shields

Looking for some input from RG owners on handlebars and windshields. I will be converting my Batwing front end to a RG sharknose and will be ordering parts soon. I will probably get either a Clearview shield or the new Klockwork shield but not sure of the height. I am leaning towards the Chubby Baby Apes (8.5") as I want the fat bars. No H-D bars. I have heard that the Clearview can interfere with certain handlebars? Mirrors will hit shield at full turn? Any info from the RG riders would be appreciated. Any experience with bars and or shields and what might save me some trouble with returns, etc. Thanks.......

I would choose your bars first. Then do some research on the windshields. Clearview makes a good product, but there are a lot of options for a windshield. I have two friends that have Clearviews, one liked one did not. The one who didn't has a Roadglide and ended up sending it back. My other friend loves the re-curve. My two cents. You need to find a good comfortable set of bars. They effect your riding, I think, more than the windshield, your back, legs and arms.

Oposite of apes. I put White bros fat bikini bars on my 02 RG. Different and way comfy for me and wide. Made the bike look low and fat.

I have Wild 1's 8 1\2" mini apes - Clearview short.

Wide glide bars are popular and the Klock Werks flare windshield seems to be th up and coming shield.
