I put one on my Ultra, can tell some difference, worth the $20 or so dollars. Did help with head buffeting and cold air off the tank during winter. Also lowered engine temperature maybe 10 degrees, which really helps on those hot days above 95 degrees.
I put one on my EG last summer. I also put the fairing deflectors on at the same time. This I know for sure....on my bike, at least one of those additions, or a combination of the two, made a noticable difference in wind turbulance. Enough that I won't be taking either one off the bike.
When I clean the bike after a long ride, I clean a ton of bugs off the fork deflector, so I know there has to be a bunch of wind that hits it.
I put one on my '06 Street Glide to help cut down on the amount of air hitting me in the face. Worked like a charm, even better than switching out the windscreen.
For anyone that cares, you can get the old OEM black one for about 8 bucks instead of the $20 chrome one. You just have to look up the part number. I posted it a couple of times last year, so it should be searchable.
Reduced theturbulance for me It also keeps my beard out of my mouth & nose
Exactly what I was going to say. The amount of air hittingmy chin is noticeably less, keeping my mustache tails out of my nose. I used to stop riding and find my beard sticking out straight forward.
