We outran this storm . . . barely. The next day it dumped. This was on December 4, 2007 on our way back from Arizona. 2700 miles and we only saw a dozen bikes. What does that mean? . . . yes, we're crazy!
Well black and white .....?????
Depends each time.
sometimes the black top is icy and better to ride the NON-packed white stuff.
But others it's better on the black.
Each time is different.
On this white stuff, part was fresh plowed and soft and part was packed and icy.
I rode the powder at slightly more speed than a power walk.
I left legs hanging down for better balance.
I just had to see what was over the rise. If clear I would have kept going.
But it appeared to get worse, so turned around.
Came home plugged camera into charger and let warm up and D/L pics from it.
No need to be envious, get out and ride. Just use caution and dress for it.
Those are some great pics.....But I know what you mean, I was riding last Jan and the wind was blowing the sand from the beach all over the road... I almost had to put a jacket on it was stinging so bad....
