I recently removed my fairing mirrors on my SG due to the new Wild One Chubbies that I installed. By the way, these bars are great!! I could no longersee out the fairing mirrors due to my shoudlers.
Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find some blackplugs that could be put in the holes left by the fairing mirrors that have been removed? I am really not interested in installing speaker tweeters.
Try this link to McMaster-Carr's online catalog; it will bring you to a page with plastic plugs. Now, you may have to buy more than you need; at least the holes will be filled. http://www.mcmaster.com/nav/enter.asp?pagenum=3671
I found plugs that match the flat black plastic perfectly at Lowe's. The come in different sizes, and there were some that fit the holes I made mounting the mirrors perfectly. Found them in the specialty hardware bins.
I loved the way the fairing mirrors looked... I just couldn't see anything behind me with them, so went back to the handlebar mounted mirrors.
