Whose got em? Who has the 508's, 518's and which would fit a 5'7" rider best? Whose got the Heritage bars and how do they like them? Anyone had both on their bike and switched from one to the other? From what I see on here and the Wild 1's website, I'm guessing the 518's are better suited for shorter riders? Thanks guys/gals.
I can't say anything about the chubbies, but I put the heritage bars on my RK, I didn't like the way my wrists were turned forward a bit, so I put on these...55954-00 "pull back" They're a bit higher than stock, maybe 2-3". That worked for me, and I'm 5'9". Sit on a heritage and see if ya like the grip angle.
I put 518s on my 06 Road King and I love em. Went on a 4800 mile trip about 2 months later and I have no complaints. Lets me set back in a more upright position. No more stabbing pain in the middle of my back. I have a buddy that wasn't sure about it so we swapped bikes for a week and now he has them on his bike.
I did the swap myself and it was a piece of cake. Just plan it well ahead so that you have the time to do it right. I lengthened the wires , installed all new braided cables and also braided front brake lines. I say go for it. Here is a sight that I found to be the most help. https://www.hdforums.com/m_1328001/tm.htm Good luck
I had the 508's on my '07 Road King Classic and were pleased with them. I'm 5'11" and Wild 1 actually recommended the 518's for my height and the 508's for shorter riders. I concur - the 508's had a little too much pullback for my arms (34 inch sleeve). These are of excellent quality and I highly recommend either of them.
At 5'7" I believe the tech's at Wild 1 would probably recommend the 508's for you. When I spoke with them last year they told me the 518's fit people 6'+ and the 08's fit those under 6' best. Call them before you buy a pair though. They make a great bar and their customer service was just as good.

I went with the 513's...a little wider than the Heritage bars. Very comfortable for me at 5'10". I agree with Whiskers, give them a call, they have really good customer sevice.
The angle of the grips on the 508's is definitely different than the stock bars, and "wheelbarrow" is perhaps a good description. It took some time to get used to them, but after a while I didn't mind the angle. For sure, these bars are more of a "cruising" bar than a "touring" bar, but they are quite comfortable once you spend a little time with them.
