thats how banks survive?? give you more $ for saving... loan $ for practically nothing,,
makes sense to me,,,,,,,
put everything on your credit cards... pay even more intrest,,,,,, thus make MORE $$$$$ by saving !!
perfect sense!!! thanks L dude!
I also have HD credit on my bike andthe first 2 payments I did online then they uped the fee from $4 to $6 so I sent my payment bu mail.... my payment was (1) day late ...yes (1) day and they called me up and ask were my payment was..... yes (1) day....any way from that point on I pay online each and every month and pay the $6 fee, I will not set up automatic withdraws never liked them , just my choice..... anyway over the course of the loan I will pay a little more(approx $300) but I dont need to worry about screwing up my credit over slow mail. btw I always pay extra too!!!
I am really not trying to fuel the rant here...but I do have a question/comment.
I would ALSO be mad at my bank as well. Cause, if youhave my enough money in a bank to earn 5.5% interest...that is good interest at today's rate. I would expect them to cancel my check at "no charge". Especially if it was a bank I worked at.
I know (personally) banks do waive fee's for customers who have enough money in the bank to have (or use)a private or personal banker when going to the bank.

Just a comment.....
Your almost right, two problems... one I can not refund/waive for my self(and I would feel like a cheapskate if I ask my co-worker to refund/waive it), and two, The acct used to send the check is my secret mad cashacct at a different bank(i don't work for them and my big balances are not there)so no one(wife) sees it or what is in it...Do not get the wrong idea, if she knew it was there, it would be spent...
My automatic payments work great. No worries. I just tear up the statements when I get them.
I, for one, understand borrowing at 5% and making 10% on that money. That's called leverage, and that's how the rich get richer. [sm=laughingsmilie.gif]
Couldn't pay cash? NOBODY on this board is poorer than me, remember, I'm a chemist and I kept my wife a stay-at-home mom until the youngest was in 1st grade! Otherwise I would have been riding a 1992 FLH instead of a 2001. Back then the interest rates added nearly $10K to the cost of the Hog. Anyway, because I paid cash, there's no leinholder, somy registrations costs were a lot lower, and my insurance wasmuch less. I still pay $290/year for full coverage. But in Lewd Dude's case, he sure did get a nice ride for all his pain!!!
