Default Clearview shield on road glide problem

It has been this way for a while and thought I would ask, I am sure someone else has seen this. When I turn all the way to the left, my mirror is hitting the clearview shield. I was thinking all I need to do is adjust either the handlebars or the controls in someway. Anyone had this issue and what did you adjust? Real curious to get this fixed, so any help is appreciated.

i've heard others have had a small incidence of that happening. i have a 2" over standard size clearview windshield on my fltr and i have no problems at all. i am however using a set of the bullet mirrors instead of the stock mirrors, so themirror arms mayput the mirror in a different position to start with. can you swivel the arms of the mirrors slightly back and then readjust the mirror heads and make it clear the shield. that would be the easiest fix, otherwise, may have to adjust the handlebars.

i forgot i also have the wideglide stock mini-apes (10.5" apes) so that probably makes a difference in the position of the mirrors. my mirrors do not even come close to the windshield. i had to change out the handlebars when i first got the bike - the stock bars had me leaning forward too much. i had a set of fxdwg stock handlebars that had been pulled off for a set of drag bars, so it was a simple switch for me. i may even go to a bigger ape to get my arm position more comfortable.

Yes, I figure if I change the mirrors or the bars, or maybe even adjust the bars, I could get rid of this problem. I was wondering if I move the controls slightly out on the bar or forward/back would solve the problem. Seems like it is only the throttle side that is hitting now, after I adjusted the mirror stem in some, but now all I can see if my damn shoulder. I should just email clearview and see what they say.
Hell, if you keep remembering more modifications you might find you don't even have a Road Glide anymore. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

It's a simple fix - move the mirrors! Look under the stem of the mirror where it attaches to the controls and you'll see how to loosen the stem and pivot the mirror toward the grip a little bit. No sense going to all the trouble to adjust the handlebars, especially since you may be very happy with your position.

Since the Clearview is an inch wider on each side than the stock windshield, some clearance issue with the mirrors seems likely.
