Doherty Power Pacc - Install How To
These are the parts that come with the kit.

After removal of the original air cleaner assembly, you mount the Power Vents to the heads using the supplied breather bolts and a nylon washer on each side of the Power Vent. The Power vents have one way valves to let crankcase pressure out, but do not let air back in to the engine top end. You can run hoses from the bottom of the Power Vents to below the bike or leave them as is. I chose not to run th ehoses at this time.

Next, attach the backing plate to the throttle body using the supplied allen screws and gasket.

Attach the billet backing plate to the breather bolt using supplied allen head bolts making a nice firm foundation for the breather assembly. You can see the quality of the billet work and polishing. Thats me behind the camera in the reflection.

Install the o-ring (lightly oiled) around the velocity stack, then press into place into the backing plate. There is a good tight seal. The inner diameter of the velocity stack is a perfect match for the 50mm throttle body, but will work on other sizes too.

Install the filter element and inner cover using the three screws with a dab of blue locktite on each screw.

Install the Billet Cover to complete the job.

A good looking air filter assembly that flows well.
If you don't run the hose on the bottom of the power vents what happens to the blow by?Do the power vents contain the oil or does it just run out the bottom. I am trying to order one but most places are out of them. My main reason for wanting one is to keep the blow by out of my combustion chamber.
If everyone is out of them, you may want to give Shooter64 (Bart) a shout on this forum, or you can order them directly from Doherty.

Guy, just wondering what the two holes inside the backing plate that have the "blue" showing in behind the holes? They are sitting at 3 and 9 o'clock! Obviouly inside the filtered area and would they be for something to be attached from the rear of the plate? Like hoses or something?
I really like my PowerPacc not really sure what power gain I achieved as I added a Terminal Velocity tuner at the same time, but you feel from the ride substantial power and torque gain and it sounded a lot better with the Supertrapp SE slip on's I already had. Every independent test article I read about the PowerPacc raved about the dyna proved power gain best on the market.
Only problem I had on the install is I had to re tap the back cylinder thread to get the bolt secured all the way in, felt like very shallow threads or a little stripped, the original came out very easy like the front? they supply a lot of extra washers for this purpose but I didn't want 15 washers on the bolt as it would turn about one and half turns then stop.
