Somebody explain to me why the HOG tunes amp will help a Classic or a StreetGlide just running front speakers. If I am not mistaken, the stock radio is 45 watts per channel and the HOG Tunes amp is 45 watts per channel.

The stock HD unit is only 20 watts per channel - just looked it up on the HD site. You have to add the outboard unit to get the extra watts. Now the Hogtunes amp is just 24 watts per channel, so not that much more, but has a LOT more usable low end. Once you plug it in you'll wonder where all that bass came from! Makes a huge difference.
Has anyone tried the lowers kit that PEZ has?? I am thinking of getting that to improve what his basic system puts out. The Hogtunes amp and speakers are very good, much better than the stock equipment on my '07 Ultra. At 70mph, it is perfectly clear with plenty of volume. At 80mph, the wind/engine noise really starts to distort the sound. And of course, if Mama is on the back, then I lost half the speakers.
I am torn between PEZ's upgrade for the lowers or buying new lower inserts and installing 6.5' speakers.

I have the lowers set up and love it. It's astounding how much more sound you get from them. But it's very smooth and you hear one big wall of sound instead of two distinct sources - pretty cool. And with 4 HT speakers on the HT amp you get some huge low end too. You can even feel the kick drum in the highway pegs! Weathers been lousy and haven't been able to get it out to 80 yet, but I'm sure it'll do the job. Just emailed with Pez today and the new website with all the lowers kits is supposed to light up maybe sometime next week.
