I put one on my RK Custom - huge difference. My wife says the best two accessories that I have added was the Sundowner seat and the passenger foot boards.
If I recall correctly, the Sundowner passenger seat measures about 15-16 inches wide compared to the 11-12 wide inch stock seat and there is definitely more padding.
Soon as I get my tax refund this year I'm buying the Sundowner and having BadX modify it with double foam for both rider and passenger (maybe go with the gel pad too..not sure yet about the gel pad...will see what BadX thinks...I/we need all the extra padding we can get as both of us have bad backs). Just my .02 worth.
Well no wonder she does...carrying **** like that around
Gives me something to keep warm at night here in Michigan!
Just got through putting on the 1" rider floorboard extension kit from Soos today (had to do something as it was a snow day and school was closed ). Easy install, now just have to wait for spring!
I put one on my bike.... Last Sept I did a 4 day ride doing about 10hrs each day without any hint of saddle soreness, before that 1600 kms in 24hrs.
ThisMay I'll be doing a nine day ride to the Grand Canyon... Planning on 8-9hrs a day then building up toa 20 day ride in August....
Sorry, a little OT but the point is, I'm planning those rides after a very comfortable couple of rides in the Sundowner....
Had the Sundowner on my RKC and loved it. I don't have enough time in the saddle on the Ultra yet to decide if it is worth upgrading the seat yet. My wife liked it so much on the RKC that she got the Sundowner for her Heritage and has been very happy with it.
1Harleyrdr: I had a Sundowner on my '05 Road King Classic. I had to have the passenger portion rebuilt with a little added gel pad to make it more comfortable for my wife. I liked my portion so well that I modified the front hold down to make it work on my '08 Road Glide. That is where it is now. I also transfered my Mustang Back Rest from the '05 to the '08. Both look good on the Road Glide and we are very happy on the longer trips. ...... BC
