Default how long to do a head-quaters 95 build

hi i posted in softail section but didnt get much response,so i thought i will try here...buddy has a carbed 01 fatboy...wants to find a builder to install Head Quarters 95 sport touring kit on...does anyone have an idea what would be a reasonable amount of time to be charged or a job cost for labor....thanks

hmm.... Im not a shop workier but a couple of guys can have it done in a weekend easily..... Could actually have it done in a day if you really wanted... But as a shop and had to pull a number outta my **** I would say........... 3 day labor..... They have ot make there money you know.... I thought someone posted before.. don't quote me; 1200 or something like that if you can find someone to do it....

My local shop quotes 10 hrs to those that want to do a top end, plus tune time.

I know there are those on this forum that have done them in a weekend, and that is with a lot of "foolin around" time meaning not having exactly what you need, running to the hardware, coffee breaks, pictures, etc.

Problem with the dealers 10 hr quote, most mechanics get paid flat rate, meaning they get paid for 10 hrs, so if they can squeeze it out in less, they are making more $ per hour.

I seethe revival of an old game show on the horizon, I can build that build in 9Hr and 55 minutes.....

The only thing I would add is that if the build requires any grinding to provide clearance for the cams, add additional time.
