Hello to all, I tried to search this but came up with nada. Ok here it is ..2003 rk, fuel injected, k&n flow master filter, super trap exahust w/discs and open end caps. When I turn off the bike I hear a squeak/chrip it think is coming from the intake. Sort off like the last stroke ended up in a certain place. It does it pretty much everytime though ..thanks in advance. mike
It may be coming from the intake, but it is very common for the rubber mounts at the rear of your slip-ons to get hard with time and chirp.
It is also one of those things that sounds like it is coming from elsewhere. I may be wrong on your bike , but check it out. for real it could be them.
If it is it's best to just change them they are cheap.
I'm guessing it's your bike taking its last breath of air through the filter untlil you decide to fire it up again. Mine does the same thing, much more free flowing filters.
My 07 Ultra does it also. I think it is a stock chirp that comes with the bike and actually Harley missed it or they would have charged for it. I believe all the newer bikes do it. Bldr
