I have also been looking at the Quest and Quest2 and now the Road tech Quest.
Quest 2 fro 750 --- buydig.com = $511
Quest retails for 450 buydig.com = #317
Road Tech for 600 chicagoharley.com = $480

the biggest difference is the Quest2 which has ALL the bells - entire north amercias preloaded with memory left over

Quest and Road Tech are what I am looking at..
Garmin Quest $259.99 w/ 12.99 shipping.

Zubaugh:

Just finished doing the research on this GPS issue. Quest and H-D Road Tech are basically the same unit, with the Road Tech containing all the H-D dealerships in the mapping.

Quest 2 is the same unit physically, only it comes with all of North America & Puerto Rica mapping stored internally plus the additional capacity to hold specific Garmin mapping that maybe attractive to the individual. For example I live in Canada and wanted more detail of the areas I ride and drive in, so I added that mapping when I bought the Quest 2. Great unit, in that it's either on my bike (06 Ultra), mounted in the truck, or I can mount it in any vehicile I'm in. Personal perference it is always, however for me the H-D Road Tech & the Garmin Quest both fall a little short for the dollars involved, so thus my choice of a Garmin Quest 2. By the way, the Garmin Quest, Quest 2, H-D Road Tech are totally integrated to work w/ the Harman Kardon Audio System on the 06 bikes. Either way the GPS is a great tool, wife loves it---- no more tension with the navigation department. (wink, wink)
Stay safe
Bob

I recently had the Road Tech installed on my 2006 Ultra. The sound portion must be connected thru the Aux port on the radio, and will only be heard when the sound system has AUX selected. It will not over ride the radio. There is a seperate small cable that connects from the face of the radio, to the mounting bracket for the GPS. I find that I do not need the sound, as the map, and the turn by turn directions are easy to see and simple to operate.

this "looks" to be a good price until you read the page... The seller has removed ALL the acces and inst book from the package.... Ebay can be a good place to buy items... but a person has to be REAL careful..
