Don't even think about the price. Get a good comfortable set of bars. The bike is no good to you the way it is. The labour will be the same for cheap bars or expensive ones. A couple of hundred bucks more on $20,000 really isn't a big deal.
I'm not saying the $63.00 bars aren't good, but get bars you find comfortable whatever they cost.
I have the Wild 1's 575. They are a quality product, 1 1/4 CHROME not stainless. I love them. I can ride all day no back pain. Further to the back pain, get a drivers backrest.
I'm thinkin' I've read somewhere the factory leaves some extra wire on the throttle in the fairing so you can go with longer bars.
Good luck.

But I'm hoping for an option that will not obstruct the fairing mounted mirrors.
Good luck with that. Kuryakynsellsmirrors that replace your OEM fairing mounted ones that stick out farther and are adjustable. Two bars of choice are Wild One's 575's (pricey as stated above) and Khromewerks 300505's for $63 (I have these and love them)
I like the price of these. Will I have to change any wiring (07 Street Glide) or can i use what's there (stock)?
Thanks!
Won't have to change any wiring. I would suggest the +3 cables that are used for the sidecar models. You would need the following for your 07
I would like to be able to see the diff between the Wild Ones and the Kromewerks 300505's.. (By the way.. I have looked all over trying to figure out where to buy them or see them but can't open up the handlebar section on Kromewerks site.!)
I am interested in ones that pull back a little. up just a tad, and turn down at the ends..(to get a more natural grip and elbows down..)
Anybody seen those??? I would appreciate any info on where I can find them..

RE: SG Handlebars
same problem when i road my roadking home from dealer..after much research i went with wild 1 #518 rk11 bars...cables and wiring "just" reach..no more sore back/neck...168.00 at cycle spot
I have ABS and couldn't replace the line. I was able to see that the line could be routed inside the fairing a little differently than the way they had it (i.e. under one of the connectors as opposed to over it or something like that) and it gave me enough to use it without any stress on the line. If you don't have ABS you should still be able to use the stock setup.
I'm in the process of doing this on my SG too. The problem is; Wild one has the 575's on back order They said they should have a set done with in two weeks (whoops, this is for a 2008 model) WIld one also told me to buy 4" longer clutch cable, and brake cable. The dealer told me there is about 8" extra throttle wire wrapped up in the bat wing. Yes, it will cost me about $350.00 to $425.00 in labor to install the bars, do the clutch cable and brake cable andall the intenior wiring. I wasn't aware that the new bars would be in the way of the mirrors? Does anyone know how much they are in the way? Does anyone have a link to the company that has mirror extenders to keep the mirrors in the bat wing?
Once the bars get done (I hope with in a couple of weeks) and the job is done, I will post pics for everyone to see.
