I'm in the process of doing this on my SG too. The problem is; Wild one has the 575's on back order They said they should have a set done with in two weeks (whoops, this is for a 2008 model) WIld one also told me to buy 4" longer clutch cable, and brake cable. The dealer told me there is about 8" extra throttle wire wrapped up in the bat wing. Yes, it will cost me about $350.00 to $425.00 in labor to install the bars, do the clutch cable and brake cable andall the intenior wiring. I wasn't aware that the new bars would be in the way of the mirrors? Does anyone know how much they are in the way? Does anyone have a link to the company that has mirror extenders to keep the mirrors in the bat wing?
Once the bars get done (I hope with in a couple of weeks) and the job is done, I will post pics for everyone to see.
just got back from a 2 1/2 hour run with a 30 minute beer/sammich break in the middle. feels like i took a ball peen to the base of my neck. i've been waiting to actually sit on a bike with bar changes but i wont be waiting to much longer. i cant find any pics on the krome werks, and i am close to doing the 16" cyclesmith. heres the best link i have found on the chubbys.
By any chance can I get a pic of your bike straight on of the front with those mirrors installed? I want to see what they do for the lines of the bike. Before you switched the mirrors out, how much of the stock mirrors were non usable after the handlebar install? How tall are you too?
