I picked up a set of fairing lowers and need to paint them to match my bike. Any suggestions on where to find HD's paint code for Black Cherry Pearl? I'm not going to buy a quart of paint for HD's price if I can get close with something else. I've looked in all the reference material that I've got and came up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I know what you mean, Pappy. I don't care if it's not an exact match, just so I can get close. My body shop buddy said to get him the paint code and he'd see what he could do, but so far I haven't been able to come up with any codes at all![:@]

BVBOB posted a ton of PPG paint code information on VTF under the sheetmetal forum--it's a sticky.
The PPG paint code is: Black Cherry Pearl B/C 905951. If your painter has the PPG computer that provides the mixing instructions, it should show the HD paint name when he enters that code.
The HD paint book shows Black Cherry Pearl as PN 98609BPS for quart; also requires Urethane Activator 99825-02; and shows Clear Coat as 98609EK.
