Looking at buying an SG however the wife is very comfortable on present RKClassic and wants to know if, after seeing the small windshield on the Glide, will she be blown around or comfortable. We have not rode one asit'swinter here and has been forever. Where the hell is that Global warming **** I've been hearing about?
Since 2 up riding is mentioned, may I suggestbuying an Ultra and take off the chrome doo dads? Cheaper to make an Ultra a SG than it is to make a SG even remotely close to an Ultra.
My $.02 anyways........but in reference to your question, theshort SG windsheild will allow ALOT of wind to get to you and your passenger.
I actually don't mind the wind and take the shield off frequently when I ride solo but when 2 up the shield has to be on or MaMa is not happy. Maybe she'll just have to stay home.

Has your Wife had the opportunity to sit on the rear of a SG...or are ya gonna surprise her...
While the SG is a GREAT Bike... It does have a lower rear so your ride will be a bit harder.. I would recommend going all out and get a ULTRA.. More cush for the tush and it was built for 2-up touring..

I was seriously considering the SG. Moma said "no way" would she go any distance on the SG's harder seat and the lower suspension which is more likely to bottom-out. We got the Ultra. However, I got a SG front fender (plain) and front and rear lights to be similar to the SG. She and I are happy with the decision.
