Where can I get the anniversary copper paint? The dealer says they can only get it in a touch up pen or an arosol.
Any suggestions?
I have a suggestion.....find a new dealer! It's available in touch up or quart, not aerosol. pn# 98609CVF quart acrylic urethane anniversary copper pearl.
I own a bodyshop and yes 100.00 is a lot. But I use PPG and mix my own paint and anything that has a red tint is expensive. It's not uncommon for some of the tints used in mixing formulas to be as much as 150.00 per quart!!. Don't forget that the base coat and clear (extra ) will need a catylist(sp) or hardner . I would go to a PPG auto paint supplier and have them use the color match computer to give a formula and then mix a small amount like 8 ounces. You will still need clear, hardner and reducer. But it will still be cheaper than moco.
You will also need to order Urethane Activator, PN 99825-02--it is required for the HD Urethane paints--about 35 bucks from Zanotti's.
You should PM BVBOB since he has posted on another forum a ton of PPG paint codes for HD paints, though I don't think he has posted anything on the '08 colors--worth a shot.
