Default Instrument Lights

I searched, and couldn't find anything. Even checked all the vendors cuz that's where I thought I saw it. Google twas no help

I saw somewhere that a company sold different colored bulbs for in the gauges on the FL models. Can't for the life of me remember where they were at

Gonna get in the fairing to change to an oil temp gauge, thought it would be a good time to make a bulb change too

Thanks,
Pete

The four gauges use 194 miniture wedge bulbs. I have been expirementing with different colors and bulbs trying to find a workable combination. I have been using LED's (WLED-x5) from here http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm. The red matches up nice with the radio, blue looks cool, but I ended up using the amber. For my eyes they gave the best visibility and brightness. They are about $3 a bulb so it's not too painful to play with.I am also curious to see if there is a difference in fogging in the morning as the LED's don't put out as much heat. --- Tom

On my '05 the bulbs are covered with yellow socks,I imagine some one would make the different colors for them.

The blue LEDs were very good for visibility and brightness. Howerver with the red radio and yellow speedo/tach, I settled on the ambers. I also tried thier warm white and they were a little too bright at night. -- Tom

Most auto parts stores carry colored bulbs.
You could also check here http://www.lightlens.com/coloredbulbs.htm
