Very sweet hogdoc and tgaetto!!!
Where would one get the parts????
Did ya'll turn down the ends from scratch, or buy a part and modify it???? I have access to a lathe, but I'm not that good to whip out a nice point with curves in it...
EDIT- Re-read hogdoc's post, looks like all I need to know is where ya'll are finding the "pike nut", and I'm set on the rest.....I found them on ebay- are ya'll finding them someplace local, or is ebay the best bet?

Is this something that prolly shouldn't be done if you ride 2 up alot? Just curious.
I had this set up on my Road King for 9 years with a detachable tour pack. Never did it not line up with the docking points. And this was on a bike that got BEAT on Hard its entire life! I saw no problems with cutting it down.
Hacksaw and some plastic plugs work just as well. Gives it that "custom" look.
I think I'm going to go cut my front forks off now. Go with the Ultra-rickshaw look for awhile.
Plugs? I have been all over and can't find what i am looking for?? Have a tip where to get them? I was thinking isert type but the whole ID/OD this doesn't seem to work out????
