While I admit that I have not done the conversion yet myself... though believe it or not, it is next on my list to replace the rear turn signals with LED lights and make them both turn signals and brake lights... I have seen some of the posts and you can do a search on LED signals and see quite a bit of information. One of the sponsors to this board has quite a few options for you. I have decided on which LED lights I plan to go with, but my biggest quandry is which brake light controller???...
I think the right answer is to go with a complete brake controller in lieu of something like HD sells i.e. a resistor pak. I would like to lighten the load on the electricals not continue to burden it... and resistors always make heat the enemy of electronics and the list goes on. Now which true LED and Brake light controller to buy is where I unfortunately have to stop and cannot help yet.
