Want to "freshen up" my 86 FLH. Completely stock with about 35K miles. Added a Mukini 42 last year that improved starting and acceleration but thought while doing other routine maintenance I would consider additional, inexpensive improvements.
Been looking for info on piston/cam/valve packages or info and comments from fellow riders that may have already completed a similar project. Will be doing the removal and reassembly work myself, with some assistance from a mechanic friend.
Any suggestions on do's and dont's? What works or doesn't work?
I had a 98 FLHT with an 80cu.in. evo in it and I put an HQ 85 hp kit in the bike. It was a great build. I sold it to a friend and he loves it. It is a very reliable build.
